Review on Lumiere Mineral Makeup foundation

After reading the raves on Mineral makeup from the online forums, I was really eager to try it myself!

My first mineral makeup trial is Lumiere in Cashmere formula. I read that lots of ladies preferred this brand over some other brands.. They claimed that it has decent medium coverage, good oil control and staying power. It so happen that there is a local reseller in Malaysia and I am able to get it cheaper and faster as compared to getting it straight from the US.

This is the description of Lumiere Cashmere formula from their website:

Skin type = all skin types

Coverage - buildable light to medium

Finish = mostly matte, has a soft silkiness

Ingredients = real silk powder, serecite (colorless mica), titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, boron nitride, iron oxides

While there are people who had trouble finding the right shade match, I am mighty glad I found my exact match in Medium Golden! That means, no hassle to mix and match and saved time!

To show how mineral makeup has transformed my look, I am showing my before and after pictures here.. All photos are taken in the daytime without flash :)

Before.. (bare faced.. sorry, I know I look quite sickly without makeup.. hehehe)



After... with Lumiere Cashmere Medium Golden foundation.. (sorry, no makeup/face primer, no eyeshadows, concealers, blush, lipstick, etc.. was too eager to snapshot the look!!!) I didn't use a makeup/face primer and you can see it actually settles into my forehead fine lines! But I like the natural look it gives :)

These are some of the looks created with Lumiere Cashmere in Medium Golden with Lumiere Perfecting Primer:

I used Lumiere Cashmere Medium Warm with Perfecting Primer (note that this shade is tad brown on me in real life)

So, what say you? Does Lumiere Cashmere looks good on me? :)

My take on Lumiere Cashmere:

Coverage : medium
Texture: creamy but not oily
Oil control: 3.5/5
Staying power: 4/5

What I like about Lumiere Cashmere:

• I found my exact match in Lumiere Cashmere Medium Golden
• Good staying power .. still on after 8 hours with no touch up
  
• Gives me the dewy look
• Feels light on my face
• Doesn't slip off
  
• A little goes a long way
  

What I dislike about Lumiere Cashmere:

• Settles into my fine lines and pores no matter how I moisturise my face or how little foundation I use or how long I buffed my face .. however, when used with Lumiere Perfecting Primer, this problem is nonexistent! Click on my pictures and you'll know what I mean.
  
• T-zone gets a little shiny after an hour or two.. however, it just stay shiny that way the whole day.. it doesn't make me look like grease bomb though..
  

Will I buy it again?

Maybe.. considering the price and quality. We have a local reseller in Malaysia.. thus, saving on the shipping cost and time.. :) However, I want to try other brands as well, before deciding! :)
